Refund & Cancellation Policy

TL;DR: Cancel anytime from your Settings page — no questions asked. Refunds are available within 7 days of payment if you haven't used premium features extensively. Free plan users can use VentureKaro forever at no cost.
1. Overview
This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all paid subscription plans offered through the VentureKaro platform ("we", "us"). VentureKaro is an independently operated freelancer project currently in trial/beta phase, based in India.

3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 How to Cancel
- Log in to your VentureKaro account.
- Go to Settings from the sidebar.
- Navigate to the Subscription section.
- Click "Cancel Subscription".
- Confirm your cancellation.
You can also cancel by emailing us at hello@venturekaro.com with your registered email address.
3.2 What Happens After Cancellation
- Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period.
- You will not be charged for the next billing cycle.
- After the billing period ends, your account will be downgraded to the free Starter plan.
- Your data will be retained and accessible under the Starter plan's limitations.
- Premium features (financials, fundraise, advanced AI) will become unavailable.
No lock-in: There are no cancellation fees, exit charges, or penalties. You can cancel at any time, and your subscription simply won't renew.
4. Refund Policy
4.1 Eligible for Refund
You are eligible for a full refund if:
- You request a refund within 7 days of your payment date.
- You have not extensively used premium features (AI credits, document generation, financial reports) during the refund period.
- The Service was unavailable or non-functional for a significant portion of your billing period due to issues on our end.
- You were charged incorrectly or charged after cancellation due to a billing error.
4.2 Not Eligible for Refund
- Requests made after 7 days from the payment date.
- You have substantially used premium features during the billing period.
- Account was suspended or terminated due to violation of our Terms and Conditions.
- Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content quality (as AI outputs vary and are not guaranteed).
- Failure to cancel before the auto-renewal date.
4.3 How to Request a Refund
- Email us at hello@venturekaro.com with the subject line: "Refund Request — [Your Email]".
- Include your registered email, payment date, and reason for the refund.
- Our team will review your request within 3-5 business days.
- If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 7-10 business days.
4.4 Refund Amount

5. Free Plan (Starter)
The Starter plan is free forever and does not involve any payment. Therefore, no refund or cancellation policy applies to the Starter plan. You may delete your free account at any time from Settings.
6. Upgrades and Downgrades
- Upgrading: When you upgrade from Starter to Pro or Team, you will be charged immediately for the new plan. The upgrade takes effect instantly.
- Downgrading: When you downgrade (e.g., Team to Pro), the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You continue to have access to your current plan features until then.
- Plan Switching: If you switch plans mid-cycle, we will pro-rate the charges accordingly.
7. Payment Gateway
- All payments are processed through secure, RBI-compliant payment gateways.
- We accept UPI, credit cards, debit cards, and net banking.
- We do not store your card details — all payment information is handled by our payment gateway partner.
- For failed transactions where money was debited, the amount is typically auto-refunded by your bank within 5-7 business days.
Important: Refunds for payments made via UPI may take up to 7-10 business days to reflect in your account. Credit/debit card refunds may take 1-2 billing cycles depending on your bank.
